How do I get my own web address?
You can have an Internet address with your company or organization name. (example: www.yourname.com).We will register your domain name for you with InterNic, the Central Internet registry office. How long does it take before my domain name is active ?
Once the InterNic announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 24 - 72 hours before it is active. All internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This is called propagation.

You have to email e-dhaka.com (support@e-dhaka.com) for any kind of change in your domain registry, we will change it on your behalf.
 

To transfer away my domain to someone else do I need to pay to e-dhaka.com?
No. We do not charge for transfer away.Its Free !
 

If I already have a domain and want to transfer to e-dhaka.com, what I need to do ?
There are two ways, you can either point the Name Servers IP address to e-dhaka 's Name Server or you can add another extra year to your domain and through us and host in our servers. For details of our name servers please email us. (support@e-dhaka.com)
 

What are the requirements for Transferring any domains/ how do i know that my domain is eligible for Transferring to somewhere else ?

Transfer Requirements (for any domains)

1. The domain must have been registered for more than 60 days.
2. The current admin contact must be able to confirm the transfer.
3. The domain name must not be 'on hold' with the current registrar. The domain could be on hold for payment issues, renewal issues etc.
4. The domain must be at least 40 days from it's renewal date.

The domain name must meet ALL the above Requirements to be able to transfer.

Transferring a domain is supposed to be simple, but due to the great variations in procedure from domain to domain, NIC to NIC and ISP to ISP, it can be a complicated affair. If you wish to transfer to E-Dhaka.COM we want you to get in touch with us so that we can advise you of the best procedure. All Unix and Window Hosting Packs with e-dhaka.com will be hosted in UK based Data Centre.
 

Will I have unlimited access to update my pages?
Yes. You have 24 hrs unlimited FTP access. You also have unlimited access via Microsoft FrontPage, Visual InterDev, FTP, and other development tools 24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and upload files to your web site at your leisure.
 

How can I Make use of E-dhaka.com Member Area?

If u have a Contrl pannel included in the pack then we will give you User ID and Password to access your control panel. Should I use Windows  or UNIX server ?
This decision depend on what kind of site u will be uploading, if you want to use PHP4 WITH MYSQL database then you will need to host in Unix servers, where as in Windows server you can have ASP, MSSQL, other ODBC related database such as ACCESS, EXCEL, FOXPRO etc. CGI, Perl FrontPage extension can be used in both servers. Is MS FrontPage supported ?
Yes. Ms FrontPage 2000 extensions are supported in both Unix and Window based servers.
 

Can I integrate a database?
Yes. If you have taken any hosting pack which includes  database support then you will have control from your control panel to integrate.
 

What database support I can use under windows server ?
In Windows servers, you can have MSSQL, other ODBC database connectivity such as ACCESS, EXCEL, FOXPRO etc.
 

What database support I can use under unix server ?
in Unix servers, you can have MySQL Database with PHP4.

What if I plan on using Active server pages?
Active server pages are supported in our Windows based servers. You will need to order our windows hosting packs for this service.
